Eight-division boxing world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao of the Philippines looks to add another world title to his collection as he challenge undefeated American Keith “One Time” Thurman for the WBA (Super) Welterweight World Championship! 

Pacquiao and Thurman will go head to head at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, July 20th

OFFICIAL WEIGH-INS (Friday, July 19th)

Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thuman both successfully make weight for their WBA (Super) Welterweight World Championship fight! 

Both Pacquiao and Thurman come in at 146.5-lbs. 

Three other Filipinos will be on the card and all made weight for their respective contests. 

Davao City’s pride Jayar Inson has moved up in the card after being slotted in as a replacement for John Molina. Inson now faces former IBF world champion Sergey Lipinets of Kazakhstan for the WBO Intercontinental Welterweight Championship. Inson and Lipinets both come in at the 147-pound limit.

Agusan del Sur’s Genisis Libranza will face American Carlos Maldonado in a flyweight bout. Both Libranza and Maldonado came in at  113-pounds. 

The first Filipino on the card will be California-based La Union native John Leo Dato, who meets American Juan Antonio Lopez. Dato and Lopez came in at 127.5-pounds for their featherweight contest. 


The Nevada State Athletic Commission has announced the judges and the third man in the ring for this weekend’s Pacquiao-Thurman title bout. 

Past and present boxing stars sit down and discuss the upcoming WBA (Super) Welterweight World Championship bout between challenger Manny Pacquiao and champion Keith Thurman.

On the panel are former Pacquiao foes in four-division world champion Erik “El Terrible” Morales and three-division world champion Marco Antonio Barrera, as well as former Pacquiao sparring partner and reigning WBC Welterweight World Champion “Showtime” Shawn Porter who lost to Keith Thurman via decision back in 2016, and former light middleweight world champion Winky Wright, who now serves as a mentor to Keith Thurman. 


The final pre-fight press conference took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Wednesday evening.
