Eight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao appears to be taking his talents to The Land of The Rising Sun.
Following in the footsteps of rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., Pacquiao has reportedly inked a deal with Japanese mixed martial arts promotion RIZIN.
RIZIN founder Nobuyuki Sakikabara posted on his Twitter account that he was here in the Philippines, and that RIZIN 15, which happens on April 21st, will include Pacquiao in some measure.
As we alluded to earlier, Pacquiao won’t be the first big-name boxer to be involved with RIZIN, as Mayweather Jr. competed in RIZIN 14 back in New Year’s Eve, demolishing Japanese Kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in first round of their scheduled three-round exhibition bout.
What Pacquiao will be doing in RIZIN 15 will be announced when Sakikabara returns to Japan.
The Filipino boxing star, who is the reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion, is targeting a return to the ring this year.
